Course Objective: To give a new inspector or permit specialist an overview of building inspection techniques and the “I” codes. After this course the student will gain a better understanding of the codes and the permitting process..

Method of Evaluation: A series of pre and post training tests and reviews are used. The student will also be provided a series of worksheets that help demonstrate how related tables and code sections interact. Instructor lectures will help the student understand proper code interpretation and avoid common mistakes in the field.
