Course Objective: To teach the student the basics of plan examination, from the structural requirements to the life safety aspects of commercial building. Two (2) sets of plans will be reviewed during the class --- one as the class progresses and the other in a study group.

Method of Evaluation:A series of pre and post progress tests and reviews are used. The student will also be provided with a series of worksheets that help demonstrate how related tables and code sections interact. Interactive instructor lectures will help the student understand proper code interpretation and avoid common mistakes in the field.

Day 3

  • Progress quiz & review
  • ANSI 117 and accessibility
  • Team Plan Review & quiz
  • Class Plan Review
